Dear members,

Thankfully now, life seems to be getting back to normal, here in the islands. Covid though is still very much with us. The number of cases rose sharply following the Easter period. We remain in alert level 2, with very few restrictions. Masks are no longer mandatory indoors in public places, such as shops restaurants and bars. But it is still necessary to wear them in hospitals, clinics, ambulatorios and in the pharmacy.

Earlier this month we gave 450 euros of your money to Padre Julian, who runs Casa Acogida Madre del Redentor, a residence for the elderly in Sauzal. He sent a lovely letter showing how much he appreciates your help. So thank you once again, for your generosity and support. Together we can make a difference. The last car boot raised 266 euros, thanks to Babs and John and their team, and also to the items that you donated.

Our next event is lunch at Petit Los Angeles on Tuesday 10th May. Take care of yourselves, and we look forward to seeing you again soon.

Sincerely,  Jean Pennington.
